Erhürman Clarifies Presidential Advisory Board Discussions

Following general assembly meetings, key executives from Koopbank were appointed to the boards of directors of its subsidiaries. This strategic move aims to strengthen corporate governance and restructure the financial framework within these entities.

Past mismanagement had led to significant debt accumulation in KoopSüt, Zirai Levazım, and Binboğa, causing disruptions ranging from employee salaries to Social Security, Provident Fund, and tax obligations.

As the primary shareholder, Koopbank has taken responsibility for stabilizing the financial standing of its subsidiaries. A commitment has been made to settle outstanding liabilities of 120 million TL to the Social Security Department, Provident Fund, and Tax Office by Friday, October 31, 2025.

The announcement further stated that Koopbank is initiating a comprehensive restructuring process to ensure the sustainable financial health of its subsidiaries, providing both financial and institutional support.

Koopbank recognizes the significant role its subsidiaries play not only financially but also in the national economy, particularly highlighting their indirect contribution to the livestock and agriculture sectors. Prioritizing the revitalization of these entities is a key objective.

In closing, the Koopbank Board of Directors stated, “In the spirit of cooperation, our priority is to fulfill our responsibilities to our subsidiaries’ employees, producers, and our community, restoring trust and stability.”
